Who you’ll meet
A person to talk with. A supervisor behind the work.
Your support team
You’ll meet one-to-one with a member of our team.
Our team’s role is to listen, understand what matters to you, and offer information or options when you want them.
You’ll normally meet with the same team member where possible. If a change is needed, we’ll give advance notice and plan an introduction and handover.
Your BCBA supervisor
Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) hold a graduate-level certification in behavior science. They can practice independently and supervise other professionals providing behavior science services. Some of the BCBAs on our team also hold PhDs in behavior science.
Your assigned BCBA reviews the team member’s work between meetings, including recordings. They do not attend your caregiver meetings.
About Behavior Science for Real Life
Founded by Matthew Hilley.
Matthew began by volunteering his time with families in his community in Culpeper, Virginia. The first gatherings were at his house. As word spread, the work moved to Culpeper Baptist Church and was featured in the Culpeper Star-Exponent.
What started locally grew to include students across the country. Matthew created a model that brings their education and support for families together.
How the service stays free
Our team includes graduate students studying behavior science and working toward board certification. Their supervision fees fund this service, so families can participate at no cost.
Students gain experience under BCBA supervision while caregivers have someone to talk with about their own lives. That model continues the community service Matthew began at home.
